- Season open 1 September / 30 June.
- Lake Otamangakau
- Flyfish for trophy size rainbow and brown trout.
- Maximum: 2 clients.
- Minimum: Half day bookings.
- Taupo licence.
- Season open 1 October / 30 June.

Local rivers
- Tongariro and Tauranga Taupo rivers.
- Both these rivers are winter spawning fisheries.
- Best fished from April / October, optimum times
are after the rivers have freshed (increased flow
after rain).
- Fished both with nymph and wetline.
- Maximum: 2 clients.
- Minimum: Half day bookings.
- Taupo licence.
- Season open all year.

Back country fish
- This is a fishery that I specialise in.
- For the experienced fisher man or the keen learner,
these rivers are the ultimate challenge to a fly
fisherman's skill.
- Fished nymph, nymph / dry combo, dry or wet.
- 2 to 2.5 hours travel / round trip, through
beautiful countryside.
- Maximum: 2 clients.
- Minimum: Day bookings.
- District licence.
- Western rivers: Season open 1 October / 30 June.
- Eastern rivers: Some rivers open year round.
- Note: catch and release fishing preferred on
these rivers.

Fee
- Half day booking, NZ$225.
- Full day booking maximum charge NZ$450.
- This includes outfitting / tackle / launch /
meals / transport.
- Fees can be split among clients.
- An extra guide can be arranged for larger groups.
